Balrampur man held for alleged ISI plot; 2 convicted in FICN case

  1. Uttar Pradesh ATS arrested 29-year-old Shahroz Ahmad from Balrampur for allegedly working with a Pakistan-based ISI-linked handler.

  2. The handler, identified as Jasveer Chaudhary, contacted Shahroz via Facebook and moved conversations to WhatsApp, Messenger and Signal.

  3. Shahroz allegedly responded to a Facebook post seeking “fearless shooters” and was instructed to recruit youths and collect arms in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.

  4. Separately, a special ATS court convicted Tahseen of Bulandshahr and Wasim of Bihar’s Sitamarhi for trafficking high-quality Fake Indian Currency Notes, sentencing them to six years’ rigorous imprisonment each.
