Two employees booked for ₹97-lakh fraud at Ludhiana firm

Police booked Bhupinder Singh and Gagandeep Kaur for allegedly defrauding a Ludhiana-based firm of nearly ₹97 lakh.

The two employees allegedly pocketed cash from customers and recorded the transactions as fake credit card payments.

They also generated fake swipe slips and manipulated sales records to conceal the fraud.

The fraud was discovered after an internal review found discrepancies between cash collections and recorded sales.

An FIR was registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and an investigation is ongoing.
