Maharashtra: Aggregator Firms Must Register By September 1 Or Face Action, Says Transport Minister Pratap

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced that all aggregator companies must register with the Transport Department by September 1, 2026.

Companies operating without registration or violating norms after the deadline will face stringent legal action, including action against vehicles involved.

The Aggregator Policy-2026 requires vehicles under aggregators to have valid permits, commercial registration, and adequate insurance coverage.

The policy mandates passenger safety mechanisms and driver eligibility verification by aggregator companies.

Sarnaik emphasized that technology should provide convenient services without compromising passenger safety or violating the law.
