Mumbai: Special NIA Court Rejects Sachin Wazes Discharge Plea In Antilia Bomb Scare, Mansukh Hiran Murder

Special NIA Court Judge Chakor Baviskar rejected Sachin Waze's discharge plea in the Antilia bomb scare and Mansukh Hiran murder case, calling it meritless and filled with rhetoric.

The court found sufficient material against Waze, dismissing his arguments including the claim that the threat note was a hoax and not a terrorist activity under UAPA.

Waze filed a 150-page discharge plea with 93 case laws, which the court criticized as lacking merit and compared to a Britannica Encyclopedia excerpt.

NIA prosecutor Sunil Gonsalves opposed the plea, noting that Waze's previous discharge plea had been rejected by both the Special NIA Court and the High Court.
