Raigad Distributes Fish Seed To 550 Farmers For Sustainable Aquaculture Growth

Fish seed was distributed to 550 farmers in Raigad district under the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Mahaswabhiman Abhiyan.

Raigad Collector Kishan Jawale said the administration will provide technical guidance, training, financial support, and market access for fish farming.

The administration plans to promote farm ponds and biofloc technology to improve aquaculture productivity.

Marine fish production has been selected as Raigad's 'One District One Product' (ODOP) to boost exports and value addition.

A Bank of Baroda branch was opened at Akshi in Alibag taluka to improve credit access for fishermen.
