DU Admissions: Aspirants, don’t make the mistake of uploading AI generated document

Delhi University detected multiple cases of aspirants uploading AI-generated or digitally manipulated documents during the UG admission process.

Haneet Gandhi, DU dean of admissions, said some digital certificates had QR codes that led nowhere or revealed fabricated documents.

The university warned that guilty applicants face immediate cancellation of admission and possible legal action.

DCP Vinit Kumar of Delhi Police's IFSO cell said offenders can be booked under section 336 of the BNS.

DU is working on an AI-enabled verification mechanism to enable faster scrutiny of documents.
