India unveils new HPV pill SHetA2

India introduced a new HPV pill called SHetA2, distinct from existing injectable vaccines.

SHetA2 is an oral medication, while current HPV vaccines are administered as injections.

The development follows India's free nation-wide HPV vaccination campaign launched on February 28, 2026.
