360-degree cameras, 8-member monitoring team: Ram temple trust starts videography of donations

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has started videographing every stage of donation handling at the Ram Temple from July 25, using 360-degree and SLR cameras, with an eight-member monitoring team deployed.

The Trust has changed the emptying of its 40-odd donation boxes, now emptying them on different days, with two professional videographers recording each exercise in the presence of two bank officials, two Trust representatives, and two security personnel.

After counting, officials of the State Bank of India formally seal the donation box in the counting room, ensuring bank involvement in the process.

The new surveillance system follows an alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple that triggered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe, with multiple arrests made.
