Meet Matthew Myerscough: The man who survived a 20-minute avalanche and discovered a 201-million-year-old sea dragon

In 2014, Matthew Myerscough was buried by an avalanche on Snowdon for 20 minutes and rescued.

The avalanche led to PTSD symptoms and changed his relationship with mountains.

Myerscough began fossil hunting at Lavernock Point in Wales as a focus for recovery.

He discovered a fossil identified as part of the lower jaw of a 201-million-year-old rhomaleosaurus.

The find is considered a significant piece of prehistoric history.
