GB Nagar to give away 400 free gardening kits to locals; opens application

Gautam Budh Nagar horticulture department is distributing 400 free rooftop gardening kits under the UP government's rooftop gardening scheme for 2026-27.

Applicants need at least 100 sq ft open rooftop space and must submit a geo-tagged photograph of the rooftop.

Kits include vegetable and medicinal plant seeds, HDPE grow bags, cocopeat, vermicompost, gardening tools, and neem oil.

Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis; residents can apply online or get help at the district horticulture office.

Required documents include an affidavit on ₹10 stamp paper, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and proof of urban residence.
