NAPA urges Centre to reconsider indefinite closure of Kartarpur Corridor

NAPA urged the Centre to reconsider the indefinite closure of the Kartarpur Corridor, citing Sikh religious sentiments.

The corridor has been closed since May 7 last year, when Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

NAPA executive director Satnam Singh Chahal suggested using modern surveillance systems and strict verification to allow safe reopening.

Chahal called the corridor an 'emotional and spiritual lifeline' for Sikhs, connecting them to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.

NAPA appealed to India and Pakistan to continue dialogue on the corridor's reopening.
