Australia midfielder Cristian Volpato reportedly tested positive for cocaine in a roadside drug test after two police traffic stops in Sydney on the same night.
Volpato was first stopped at 11:05 p.m. on Thursday for speeding on Anzac Bridge, where he received an infringement notice.
He was stopped again around 1:10 a.m. Friday in the same area, allegedly driving 109 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
A secondary oral fluid sample has been sent for laboratory confirmation, and his international driver's licence was suspended for six months.
The incident occurred days after Volpato represented the Socceroos at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he made three appearances.
