Pune Metro Line 3 Launch Delayed As Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Corridor Awaits Safety Clearance

Pune Metro Line 3 (Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar) launch delayed as it awaits safety clearance from Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS).

First phase from Maan station to R K Laxman Museum station, originally expected in July, postponed until CMRS final approval.

Construction completed and metro ready for service; CMRS performed inspection and observations have been addressed.

First phase includes 12 stations from Hinjawadi side; remaining 11 stations expected operational in October.

Line 3 is India's first metro under public-private partnership, executed by Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (Tata-Siemens JV).
