Scooter-borne duo stabs 12-year-old boy on way to tuition, flees

A 12-year-old boy was stabbed by two scooter-borne men on HAL Hospital Road in Bengaluru while on his way to tuition.

The attackers pushed the boy, then used a knife on his right hand twice before fleeing.

The boy, a Class 6 student, was treated at a private hospital and is recovering.

Police are examining CCTV footage to identify the assailants and a case has been registered under Section 118 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.

The motive is unclear; the boy's mother said he had no school quarrels, and the attackers were masked and helmeted.
