From Kohli to Samson: How Zimbabwe became India's T20I launchpad

India has used Zimbabwe tours since 2010 to debut 22 men's T20I players, including Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.

The 2010 series saw T20I debuts for Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, Naman Ojha, and Amit Mishra.

In 2015, Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, and Sandeep Sharma debuted in Zimbabwe.

The 2016 series introduced KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mandeep Singh, Jaydev Unadkat, and Rishi Dhawan in T20Is.

Recent tours have featured debuts for Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag, continuing India's practice of testing emerging talent in Zimbabwe.
