Kerala had 25.6% absenteeism, with 29,122 candidates skipping NEET-UG 2026 out of 1.14 lakh registrations.
Rajasthan posted a 69.3% qualification rate among appearing candidates, the highest among large states.
Tamil Nadu and Karnataka recorded 23.8% and 19.4% absenteeism respectively, with 33,893 and 28,288 no-shows.
Rajasthan's registrations rose 15.5% to nearly 2.1 lakh, and qualifiers increased by 13,275 to 1.33 lakh.
NRI registrations for NEET-UG climbed 44% from 741 to 1,066, while the 'others, including outside India' category more than doubled to 4,732.
