TET paper leak mastermind held in Bihar after month-long hunt

Bijender Gupta, alleged mastermind of the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test-2026 (TET-2026) paper leak, was arrested in Samastipur, Bihar after a month-long hunt.
Gupta was brought to Bhiwandi on Saturday and remanded to police custody until July 30; associate Indrajeet Vijay Singh was also arrested.
The arrests bring total detainees to 14, including Gupta's wife Suman Gupta, arrested for financial assistance and fund transfers.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Thane police alleges Gupta masterminded leaks of at least 20 competitive and professional exams across several states.
Three employees of Mahim Patran Ltd printing press in Agra provided Gupta with updates on printed exam papers; key suspect Sonu Kumar remains absconding.
