Nashik: Surgana Jumps 311 Places To 77th In NITI Aayogs Aspirational Block Programme, Excels In Health And

Surgana taluka in Nashik district jumped from 388th to 77th place among 515 aspirational blocks under NITI Aayog's Aspirational Block Programme (ABP).

Surgana achieved 100% institutional deliveries, 97.5% first-trimester registration of pregnant women, and 100% successful tuberculosis treatment.

The taluka reported 90.8% diabetes screening, 84.9% hypertension screening, and 9.5% low birth-weight babies.

% drinking water availability in functional Anganwadi centres and 99.7% toilet coverage in Anganwadis were achieved.

An additional ₹5 crore in funding has been approved by the administration, following a previous ₹7 crore allocation.
