SC reluctant to take up PIL on paper leaks; asks what and how much can courts do

The Supreme Court expressed reluctance to entertain a PIL on question paper leaks, asking what and how much courts can do.

A bench of Justices P S Narasimha and Alok Aradhe heard the plea by advocate Ashwini Upadhyay.

The court noted it is already seized of the NEET-UG paper leak case and adjourned the hearing to next month.

Senior advocate Vikas Singh argued that over 2.5 crore students suffered due to paper leaks in NEET and other exams.

The petition states repeated paper leaks violate students' right to equality under Article 14 of the Constitution.
