Consult coastal stakeholders before Mysuru Kambala move: Sunil Kumar

BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar urged the government to consult coastal kambala organisers and buffalo owners before hosting Kambala at Mysuru Dasara.

Kumar expressed shock over a reported ₹8 crore plan to host Kambala during Dasara.

He noted the government has hesitated to allocate even ₹2.5 lakh each for traditional kambalas in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

Kumar proposed allocating ₹25 lakh each to 20 district-level kambalas to enhance local events and attract tourists to coastal districts.
