BHMS-CCMP Doctor Registration Delayed As Maharashtra Govt Calls High-Level Meeting

BHMS-CCMP doctor registration with Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) delayed after Maharashtra government called a high-level meeting on July 28 to discuss the proposal.

Meeting chaired by Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif will involve all concerned departments, which must submit comments before the meeting.

MMC registration process, expected to start July 27, did not begin, prompting protests by BHMS practitioners outside MMC office.

Indian Medical Association (IMA) opposes registration, urging delay until Bombay High Court hears the matter on August 13–14, warning of a statewide shutdown of medical services if registration proceeds.
