‘Please accept mine’: Gopinathan takes a dig at PM Modi over his IAS resignation pending for nod since 2019

Kannan Gopinathan, 41, resigned from IAS in 2019 and joined Congress in 2025.

He asked PM Modi to accept his resignation, noting it has been pending for 7 years.

Gopinathan said he receives no salary or suspension, just a pending status.

He cited inability to express opinion in government and opposition to 2019 Article 370 actions.

Gopinathan referred to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as education minister.
