Fake gem in mouth: Two Indian tourists' pre-planned heist of $200K diamond in Singapore's Chinatown caught on camera

Mangroliya Manojkumar Kurjibhai, 41, and Serasiya Milan Ramnikbhai, 30, stole a 4.95-carat diamond worth $199,000 Singapore from Dianochge Diamonds Jewelry in Singapore's Chinatown.

Serasiya hid a counterfeit diamond in his mouth and swapped it for the real one while the manager was distracted.

The heist was caught on CCTV, and the manager discovered the fake diamond after the duo left the store.

Mangroliya was arrested at Changi Airport Terminal 3 on June 19 and sentenced to two years, two months and two weeks in jail after pleading guilty to theft.

The counterfeit diamond was commissioned in Surat with the same specifications and serial number as the real one.
