Uttar Pradesh aims to develop 10 GW of data centre capacity by 2030 to become an AI infrastructure hub.
The State Transformation Commission shortlisted one company for a detailed survey after presentations by McKinsey & Company, Kearney, and Boston Consulting Group.
The state plans to develop 6 GW in the first phase, requiring an estimated investment of around ₹1 lakh crore per GW.
UP will identify and secure suitable locations itself before inviting private developers, a strategy to reduce project timelines and make projects investment-ready.
