Punjab's Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna provided ₹4.15 crore in cashless stroke treatment to 914 patients over six months.

Acute stroke and acute ischemic stroke accounted for the largest share of treated cases; hemorrhagic stroke cases were fewer but costlier per patient.

Expenditure went toward advanced diagnostic imaging (CT scans, MRI) and procedures like tracheostomy and blood transfusions.

Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh emphasized that timely treatment is crucial and financial constraints should not delay care.

Senior neurosurgeon Dr Harman Sobti noted that early diagnosis and prompt intervention significantly improve stroke recovery outcomes.
