Yaroch was part of the FBI's national security investigative squad probing potential crypto fraud involving an adversarial nation.

The theft occurred over several months; Yaroch allegedly used his internal agency access to transfer funds to his personal account.

He reportedly confessed to a colleague at FBI Boston, saying 'I f**** up' during interviews at his home.

He faces charges of interstate transport of stolen goods and receipt of stolen goods.
