US starts $750 fast visa pilot in Mexico

The U.S. State Department launched a $750 fast visa appointment pilot program for B1/B2 visa applicants in Mexico, not in India.

Applicants pay $750 on top of the $185 MRV fee to secure an interview appointment within 10 business days, if slots are available.

The program is voluntary and limited to B visa applicants; other visa categories like F, M, H, L, O, P, TN, or E are ineligible.

The pilot runs until December 2026 and may expand to other countries including India based on its success.

The expedited fee is non-refundable, and missed appointments forfeit the fee; appointments cannot be changed once booked.
