UP setting up think tank for major healthcare overhaul

Uttar Pradesh is establishing the State Health Systems Resource Centre - Uttar Pradesh (SHSRC-UP) as a think tank to guide healthcare reforms and evidence-based policymaking.

A two-day roundtable organised by SGPGIMS and the State Transformation Commission is preparing a five-year strategic roadmap for SHSRC-UP.

Experts from IIM-Lucknow, Johns Hopkins University, ICMR, WHO, Unicef, NABH, and the ministry of health and family welfare contributed recommendations.

The roadmap aims to build a resilient, tech-driven, and patient-centric health system using SWOC analysis, gap analysis, and evidence-based solutions.

Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of the State Transformation Commission, stated the centre will serve as a technical bridge between policy, research, and implementation.
