Jordan denies US claim of Aqaba airport, seaport evacuation over security threat

Jordan denied a US Embassy claim that authorities evacuated Aqaba's international airport and seaport over a specific and credible threat.

The US Embassy in Amman said on X that Jordanian authorities had evacuated the facilities because of the threat.

Jordan stated both facilities were operating normally despite heightened regional tensions from the US-Iran conflict.

The embassy advised all Americans to avoid traveling to the airport or seaport and to follow Jordanian security directives.
