A 19-year-old student named Li in China notarised a will leaving his 20 million yuan (approximately \u20b9 28 crore) fortune to his childhood friend.
Li's will excludes his parents and their current spouses, citing emotional distance and their limited involvement during his upbringing.
The will, which includes an apartment and savings, was officially notarised at the China Will Registration Centre in Shanghai.
Chinese law permits individuals to bequeath assets to people outside their statutory heirs through a valid will, despite parents being first legal heirs without one.
