Himachal Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri urged the Centre for special financial support to expand the state's rail network.
The redeveloped Amb-Andaura railway station in Una district was virtually inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
The upgraded station with modern amenities strengthens regional connectivity and serves five daily trains for thousands of passengers.
Agnihotri noted the Bhanupalli-Bilaspur project cost rose from ₹1,000 crore (2007) to ₹13,446 crore; state contributed ₹847 crore and seeks it as a one-time grant.
He also sought similar grant treatment for the Chandigarh-Baddi rail project (₹348 crore state contribution) and expediting the proposed Una-Hamirpur line.
