Mumbai: Cooper Hospital Hostel Doctors Allege Contaminated Drinking Water Supply, Seek Urgent Corrective

Resident doctors at HBT Medical College and R.N. Cooper Hospital allege contaminated drinking water in the hostel.

Dr Mayur Chaudhari, President of MARD at HBT Medical College and R.N. Cooper Hospital, says water storage drums lack proper lids and have not been cleaned this year.

Doctors claim water filters in the college and hostel accumulate algae due to irregular cleaning, causing illness among students.

They demand immediate cleaning of filters, display of a maintenance schedule, and regular microbiological culture testing of water.

Dean Dr Chhaya Shinde has assured an inquiry into the matter.
