Ather's new e-scooter debut on August 29: Details, what to expect

Ather Energy will unveil its first mass-market electric scooter on August 29 at the fourth edition of Ather Community Day in Bengaluru.

The new scooter debuts the modular EL platform, designed for scalability, versatility, and manufacturing efficiency, supporting battery packs from 2 kWh to 5 kWh.

Prototypes, believed to be the EL01, show a practical, family-focused design with a longer wheelbase, wider seat, and larger floorboard compared to the 450X.

The scooter will be positioned below the Rizta in Ather's lineup and compete with the Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube.
