Maharashtra’s Orange Cluster Push: Govt Plans To Boost Vidarbha Growers’ Income, Exports & Global Branding

Maharashtra Minister of State for Agriculture Ashish Jaiswal reviewed the proposed Orange Cluster initiative to boost orange production and income in Vidarbha.

The project will focus on disease-free planting material, AI-based farming, and better market linkages for growers in Nagpur, Amravati, and Wardha.

Jaiswal directed officials to conduct inspections of nurseries and organize training to ensure availability of high-quality planting material.

The initiative includes AI-based farming practices, disease management, and post-harvest management to strengthen the citrus value chain.

The Orange Cluster aims to establish Maharashtra's oranges as globally recognized and empower lakhs of Vidarbha growers.
