Rupee jumps 28 paise against US dollar as crude price drops to $92 per barrel

US dollar index slipped 0.26% to 101.04, contributing to rupee gains.

Easing Middle East hostilities between the US and Iran improved global sentiment, with the US giving talks space.

Domestic equities BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty rose 0.81% and 0.70% respectively; Foreign Institutional Investors were net sellers of Rs 3,892.77 crore.
