BJP seeks Sreelekha Mitra's arrest over PM Modi's 'obscene poster' at Kolkata students' protest

BJP filed police complaints against Bengali actor Sreelekha Mitra over a poster she held at a July 24 students' protest in Kolkata's Esplanade area.

The poster reportedly displayed an offensive image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The protest was over the NEET examination paper leak and demanded resignation of then Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

BJP's complaint invoked BNS 2023 sections 352, 353, and 356, seeking legal action against Mitra.
