South Bengaluru horror: Man strangles pregnant wife with dog's leash, dies by suicide

Manoj Kumar allegedly strangled his pregnant wife Swapna with a dog's leash at their rented house in Banashankari Park, south Bengaluru.

Kumar then died by suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan; no suicide note was found.

The house owner Shekhar alerted police after hearing loud arguments and screams.

Police are examining the couple's mobile phones to determine the motive.

The couple, originally from Uttar Pradesh, had moved to Bengaluru years ago; Kumar worked as a carpenter, Swapna was a homemaker.
