Bengaluru Traffic Police Propose Regulated Carpooling to Ease Congestion; Karnataka Govt Yet to Decide

Bengaluru Traffic Police submitted a 5-point proposal to Karnataka government to ease congestion.

Proposal includes a regulated carpooling system to reduce single-occupancy cars.

Other measures: stricter heavy vehicle movement, higher traffic penalties, restricting 2-wheelers on some flyovers, and tighter regulation of private buses.

Karnataka government has yet to decide on the proposal.
