Amaal Mallik on why Salman Khan sang Main Hoon Hero Tera

Amaal Mallik revealed Salman Khan recorded his own version of 'Main Hoon Hero Tera' to shift focus away from negativity around 'Hero' co-stars Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.

Despite not being a singer, Salman Khan insisted on singing the track himself and said, 'I'm a hero, so I'll sing it.'

The track was dubbed across eight locations including Himesh Reshammiya's studio, Yash Raj Studios, and Salman's farmhouse, using the same microphone.

Salman Khan's version was used as the end-credit track for the 2015 film 'Hero', which he co-produced with Subhash Ghai.

The original version sung by Armaan Malik was already a blockbuster hit when the trailer dropped.
