Ludhiana woman, sons booked for assaulting elderly father-in-law, spouse

Kuldeep Kaur and her sons Maninder Singh and Jaskaran Singh were booked by Jamalpur police for allegedly assaulting and threatening 76-year-old Dibara Singh and his son Harvinder Singh.

The dispute arose after Dibara Singh transferred ownership of the house to Kuldeep Kaur under pressure, after which she and her sons allegedly demanded eviction and threatened the complainants.

On July 7, 2026, the accused allegedly tried to evict the elderly man and his son, leading to an altercation where Kuldeep Kaur struck both with a stick, causing injuries.

The case was registered under Sections 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation, and acts by several persons in furtherance of common intention.
