Davies completes Commonwealth double in 5,000m, LaFond leaps to historic Dominica gold

Australia's Rose Davies completed a 5,000m and 10,000m double at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, becoming the first woman to do so in Games history.

Olympic triple jump champion Thea LaFond won her first Commonwealth gold for Dominica after bronze in 2018 and silver in 2022.

Devynne Charlton of Bahamas won women's 100m hurdles gold, beating Jamaica's Megan Simmonds and Nigeria's Tobi Amusan.

Nigeria's Chukwuebuka Enekwechi won men's shot put with 21.07m, dethroning New Zealand's defending champion Tom Walsh.

England won the men's 4,000m team pursuit gold in track cycling, avenging their loss to Australia at Paris 2024 Olympics.
