Christopher Nolan Breaks Down the Epic Scene at the Center of ‘The Odyssey’

Christopher Nolan’s Trojan Horse in ‘The Odyssey’ is 35 feet tall, weighs 8,000 pounds, and was built from fiberglass, wood, and steel.

The horse was filmed on a beach in Morocco, half-buried in sand and battered by waves to appear as a waterlogged offering left by a departing army.

The scene involved dragging the 8,000-pound horse over dunes and log rollers using actors with ropes.

‘The Odyssey’ is the first Hollywood feature shot entirely with IMAX film cameras.

Matt Damon leads the Trojan ambush in the film.
