Punjab: Moose Wala’s father slams Warring for terming slain singer a ‘weak candidate’

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring cited slain singer Sidhu Moose Wala as a weak electoral contestant at the 'Har Booth, Congress Mazboot' event in Mansa.

Moose Wala, who contested the 2022 assembly polls on a Congress ticket from Mansa, lost to AAP's Dr Vijay Singla by 63,323 votes.

Moose Wala's father, Balkaur Singh, confronted Warring publicly, objecting to his son being singled out when Congress lost in 100 other seats.

Balkaur challenged Warring, citing his son's massive digital following and his own willingness to contest on a Congress ticket since his son's murder in 2022.

The confrontation exposed rifts over local political control, as Balkaur lamented Warring's directives to prepare workers for the Mansa seat.
