Shastri Bridge lane in Prayagraj to close again from July 28 for Kanwar Yatra

One lane of the twin-lane Shastri Bridge in Prayagraj will close from July 28 for a month to facilitate Kanwar Yatra during Sawan.

The Daraganj–Jhunsi lane will be reserved exclusively for Kanwariyas travelling towards Varanasi after collecting Ganga water.

Two-wheelers can use the remaining lane in both directions; four-wheelers and heavy vehicles will be diverted via Phaphamau.

Traffic personnel will be deployed on Shastri Bridge and at key diversion points to manage movement.

The closure follows restoration of traffic on the same lane on July 16 after 43 days of repair work.
