Railway doctors delivered a baby boy aboard the Shalimar Express at Amalner station, saving the mother and newborn.
The mother, 25-year-old Asha Kumari Ray from Deoghar, Jharkhand, went into labour while travelling from Surendranagar to Tatanagar.
Dr. Vivek Ahire led the delivery at the Amalner Health Unit, with the medical team arriving at 5.20 am.
Post-delivery, both mother and baby were shifted to the Rural Hospital at Amalner for further care.
