Delhi govt plans six-lane upgrade for Najafgarh peripheral road

Delhi government plans to widen the four-lane Najafgarh peripheral road into a six-lane corridor.

The upgrade aims to ease congestion and improve interstate connectivity with Haryana, particularly to Bahadurgarh and Gurugram.

The project, cleared by UTTIPEC, will include a footpath, cycle lane, and green zone.

Widening at grade was chosen over a flyover due to lower land acquisition costs.

Encroachments will be removed and additional land acquired where needed.
