2015 Palghar murder case: Minor discrepancies of murder eyewitnesses are a sign of truthfulness, not falsehood’: HC

The Bombay High Court upheld the life sentence of Ramnayan Vishwakarma for the 2015 murder of Radhika Yadav in Palghar.

The court ruled that minor discrepancies in eyewitness testimony are signs of truthfulness, not falsehood.

Vishwakarma was convicted by a Thane sessions court in 2017 for stalking and murdering Yadav, his former co-worker.

Yadav was stabbed in the stomach, chest, and shoulder by Vishwakarma on May 3, 2015, while walking to work with three female colleagues.

The bench of justices A S Gadkari and R R Bhosale dismissed Vishwakarma's appeal, stating such discrepancies cannot undermine a reliable prosecution case.
