Nashiks Shravani Walekar Wins National Womens Doubles Badminton Title

Shravani Devendra Walekar and Aditi Bhat won the women's doubles title at the Yonex Sunrise All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament in Kochi, Kerala.

They defeated defending champions Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhat with scores of 15-12, 13-15, 15-11.

Shravani trained under coach Makarand Dev and began playing at the Shivsatya Mandal ground in Nashik.

She was selected for the Prakash Padukone Academy in 2022 and won the Khelo India title in 2024.

Shravani aims to perform consistently at the international level and represent India at the Olympics.
