Andhra businessman fires 3 rounds after badminton team loses semifinal match in local tournament

A real estate businessman identified as Kaushik fired three rounds from his licensed .32 revolver after his team lost a semifinal match in the Kurnool Badminton Premier League (KBPL) in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

The firing occurred on the ground out of frustration, and no one was injured, according to Kurnool DSP Raghavendra.

Police took Kaushik into custody, seized the revolver, and initiated the process to recommend cancellation of his firearm licence to the district collector via SP Vikrant Patel.

Investigators stated there was no argument or altercation before the firing, which was triggered by the team's defeat.
