Contractor bursts crackers on busy flyover in Bengaluru to celebrate B-day, booked after clip goes viral

Contractor Raghavendra S, 26, a resident of Srirampura, was booked by Vijayanagar traffic police for bursting firecrackers on the Shivanahalli flyover on West of Chord Road in Bengaluru.

The incident occurred around 11.55pm on July 15, when Raghavendra stopped his car on the busy flyover to celebrate his birthday and burst crackers while his friend recorded a video.

The video was shared on X on July 29 and went viral, leading police to file a case under Section 285 (danger or obstruction in a public way) of the BNS.

Police said the stunt disrupted traffic and posed a risk to other road users.
